Peak Power Services currently has several positions available in Florida for qualified Top Hands. Top Hands work under the supervision of a Tower Lead and Foreman, assists with the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of antenna systems, communication towers and support structures. Technicians routinely work irregular hours, work under hazardous conditions, and regularly work under adverse conditions (e.g., high towers, inclement weather, remote sites, etc.) in the performance of the job. Honorably discharged veterans who have experience in electronics or telecommunications are a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Climbs and works on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance
- Must have the physical ability and the willingness to work above ground at excessive heights on towers, rooftops, and equipment such as bucket trucks and/or man lifts
- Effectively utilizes available resources, technology, and tools to complete work
- Complies with all company policies and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements
- Installs tower foundations and erects towers using construction and rigging equipment
- May fabricate metal support brackets and support structures using welding equipment
- Maintains clean, safe and orderly environment, and adheres to all Company and industry (OSHA) standards/regulations
- Efficiently prioritizes and performs job requirements and activities based on open communication with the lead or manager
- Develops and maintains of a positive company image, as follows:
- Providing superior customer service ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner
- Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comfortable working above ground while utilizing proper safety equipment
- Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Self-starter, team player, results oriented
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ year(s) general construction, electrical, technical, or mechanical experience preferred
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
